- Served as Eastern Division Finance Manager at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream
- Joined WaterFurnace International in 2005 as CFO; helped double revenue from $65M to $130M
- Continued as VP of Financial and Administrative Services for NIBE North America after WaterFurnace’s $364M acquisition in 2014
- Led major acquisitions at NIBE including Enertech and The Climate Control Group
- As CFO of Fireplace International, grew sales from $68M to $110M and increased pre-tax profits

Lynn Mueller
VICE Chairman
- Co-founder and CEO of SHARC International Systems in 2008
- 25+ years of experience in geothermal heat pump industry
- Served as President of WaterFurnace Canada and International
- Founder Pacific Geo-Exchange Inc. and Earth Source Energy Inc.
- Inducted into the Clean 50 (Canada’s top 50 leaders in sustainability) and received a Clean50 Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.

Michael Albertson
- Appointed CEO, President, and Director of SHARC Energy in December 2024
- Formerly played a key role in the $364 million acquisition of WaterFurnace International by NIBE Group in 2014
- Brings deep expertise in renewable thermal energy and business growth
- Focused on expanding SHARC’s WET technology into sectors like universities, water utilities, corrections, military, and design-build firms
- Recognized for elevating SHARC Energy’s market visibility and uncovering new opportunities beyond multi-family residential

Peter Busby
- Principal at Perkins & Will, a global design practice.
- 40+ years of experience as an Architect in Vancouver.
- Built approximately 150 buildings across Canada and internationally.
- Founder of the Canada Green Building Council in 2002, introducing LEED to Canada.
- Recipient of multiple design awards including 6 Governor Generals Awards, 11 Lieutenant Governor Awards, and the RAIC Gold medal.
- Awarded the Order of Canada in 2015 for advancing the green building movement.
- Active in designing projects in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle, and Texas.

Mike Harcourt
- Former Premier of British Columbia (91-96)
- Former Mayor of Vancouver (80-86)
- Chair of UBC’s Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability.
- Chairman of Quality Urban Energy Systems for Tomorrow (QUEST).

Dermot Sweeny
- President and Founder of Sweeny&Co Architects Inc.
- Advocate for sustainable building practices, emphasizing carbon footprint reduction and health and wellness in architectural spaces.
- Sweeny&Co has won awards from the Canadian Green Building Council and the Urban Land Institute.
- Notable projects include Queen Richmond Centre West, Waterfront Innovation Centre, and One York-Sunlife’s HQ in Toronto.
- Designs often achieve LEED Platinum or Gold status, with numerous sustainability awards.
Management

Michael Albertson
PRESIDENT & CEO
- Over four decades of experience in the renewable thermal energy sector.
- Previous roles include Senior VP Sales & Marketing at WaterFurnace International, Director of Commercial Geothermal Sales, and National Accounts Manager for a major heat pump manufacturer.
- Owned and operated a commercial HVAC, controls, and mechanical equipment/contracting company for over a decade.
- Past Chairman of the Board of the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and board member of the GeoExchange Organization (GEO).

Hanspaul Pannu
CFO, COO
- Nearly a decade of experience in the Canadian small cap public company space, focusing on financial reporting, serving as corporate secretary, and providing listing and general accounting support.
- Operational and management expertise, including financial planning and analysis.
- Fifteen years in both private and public company spaces, with a broad experience across health tech, biopharmaceuticals, cannabis, and clean tech industries.
- Leads the accounting, financial reporting, legal, planning, regulatory, and strategic functions.
- Integral in day-to-day operations, leveraging business acumen and strategic foresight.
- Represents SHARC Energy to the investor community, engaging with institutional and large private investors interested in clean energy solutions.

Mike Tanyi
Director, Marketing & IT
- Director of Marketing & IT at SHARC Energy, with over 30 years of experience in marketing and IT.
- Began his career at 16 with a mainframe software company, amassing significant business experience, especially in startups.
- His entrepreneurial background helps him contribute to SHARC Energy’s growth in sales, operations, marketing, and IT.
- Responsible for developing and implementing SHARC Energy’s marketing strategy and overseeing its IT infrastructure.
- Plays a crucial role in effectively communicating the company’s value proposition and streamlining business systems.

Brock Trimble
Director, TECHNICAL SALES
- Over a decade of experience in the mechanical industry.
- Holds a Canadian Red-Seal Ticket in Plumbing and a Class “B” Gasfitter license.
- Initially worked with SHARC Energy Systems as a contractor, contributing to the development and installation of the first SHARC systems. Joined in 2016 as Production and Maintenance Supervisor at the Vancouver headquarters.
- Renowned for his in-depth understanding of SHARC’s products and expertise in the mechanical industry.
- Recognized for providing exceptional service and support, ensuring SHARC’s products are designed, installed and maintained to the highest standards
